The original N64 game had the Adventure Mode, Adventure Mode 2 and Single Race Mode. In Single Race you could pick any racetrack, Trophy Challenge and Battle Arena, while the Silver Coin Challenge is only featured in Adventure Mode. In the DS Remake there was the Adventure Modes, Single Race (without Battle Arenas), Balloon Pop Touch Challenges and a Wish Race mode where you could create a Wish Track and only do a 1-on-1 race against TT. The Silver Coin Challenge from the N64 game is unlocked by buying it in Taj‘s Wishmenu Shop seen in Adventure Mode. In the original N64 every character had the same car, hovercraft or plane, each with a different color scheme. In the DS remake you could buy accessories for your kart that would boost certain attributes, like acceleration, top speed or handling, plus you could edit the color of your vehicles. In this remake there should be more different vehicles ( different-looking cars, planes and hovercrafts). The vehicles from the original game are also featured. The vehicles only look different but they don‘t give special abilities. All Vehicles can have their color scheme changed. They can be unlocked by buying them in the shop. The Original N64 game featured 20 racetracks plus 4 arenas. The DS remake added 4 extra racetracks. The remake should feature - all racetracks from the original N64 game, plus all of its battle arenas, plus a battle arena set in Future Fun Land - the 4 Extra Tracks from the DS Remake which are based on Donkey Kong Island plus a battle arena set there, and maybe even some new racetracks and arenas that are based on and set in - Banjo‘s home, the Isle of Hags - Conker‘s Home, the Panther Kingdom - Mario‘s home, the Mushroom Kingdom - Yooka‘s home, the Hivory Towers which would make about 10 cups with 40 racetracks and 10 arenas in total. In both the original N64 game and the DS Remake, there were five different coloured balloons, that gave five different kind of weapons, meaning a certain colour would give only a specific weapon, e.g. the red balloon would give a rocket. If you collect up to three balloons of the same colour, then the weapon would become stronger, e.g. an oil slick from the green balloon would become a mine, and then a bubble. If you collect an item from one balloon color and then run into a different colored balloon, the item from the first balloon would be lost and replaced by the item from the other balloon. In the DS remake there was a Power up Token, that would upgrade the weapon to a unique ultimate weapon, e.g. the boost from the blue balloon would become a vortex that allows you to drive on auto-pilot and gain several speed boosts. I love Diddy Kong Racing and if a remake of the game would come out, I would like it to be similar to another remake of a Racing game that is similar to Diddy Kong Racing. We received Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, which is a remake of the original PS1 game Crash Team Racing, but with polished up graphics, plus the Racetracks, vehicles and playable characters from its sequel, Crash Nitro Kart. It also has more playable characters which were not featured or playable in both CTR and CNK, new racetracks that were not featured in CTR and CNK, plus different skins and colours for the characters and karts.
